Up for sale is a4 x 6"
photograph
that has been produced from my original old negatives of Meade View Company postcards
, a company that sold real photo postcards of numerous Maine towns and views in the
1920's, 1930's, and early 1940's.
What you see is exactly what the postcard looked like, only better, since we cleaned up the negative, sharpened the image, and printed it from a .tif file, with glossy format on
quality photo paper.
The back of the photo is blank.
This is
a view of
the Lindsey Tavern and other buildings on what I believe is US Route 1 in
Wells, Maine, in the 1930's. Great detail of the tavern with a sign that reads "Ye Lindsey Tavern. Home-Cooked Food. Chicken Steak Dinners. Home Made Bread. Rooms."
Excellent condition, very sharp and clear, great 1930's/40's scene, perfect for framing!
