At Rokland we realized many years ago that comparing Apples and PCs was a lot like comparing apples and oranges. While there are some USB Wi-Fi options for Macs out that come with all sorts of Windows and Linux drivers on the CD, making the Mac drivers hard to find (and the support docs even harder), our goal with this product was to focus solely on Mac users. From the moment you put in the CD, you will see the difference between this item and other products. Our documentation and installation instructions were written by Rokland technicians who have worked with Apples going all the way back to Apple IIe.
This is an 802.11n standard mini wireless USB adapter specially developed for
Intel Macs running Mac OS 10.4 up to 10.14 High Mojave. For Mac OS 10.11 follow the included instructions to disable SIP protection before installing the driver.
This item works with any Mac that has a USB port- you do not need to have an Airport card in your Mac
. In fact, because this is independent from your Airport card, if you do have one you will want to turn it off prior to using this. This is a great option to make any Mac without an Airport card into a Wi-Fi capable Mac right away, or if you already have an Airport card you can upgrade your Wi-Fi connection to the newest 802.11n standard at a very low cost (benefits of 802.11n connectivity require use with an 802.11n router- with an 802.11g router this will perform like an 802.11g Wi-Fi product). This makes for a great replacement in the event your Airport card stops working.
*If you have previously had an external Wi-Fi USB adapter installed on your Mac before, we recommend uninstalling the software for it to prevent any conflicts. You can contact us with the brand/model of the device you used before if you need help tracking down uninstall software for it.

When launching the 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, or 10.12 installer from the CD, be sure to Control-click the install icon and select Open from the popup menu. In these OS versions, default Gatekeeper settings will not allow the installer to be launched just by double-clicking the icon since the application is not originating from the Apple app store

The installation software and instructions you need to set this device up on your Mac are included on a standard sized CD-ROM (many mini USB adapters online come with a mini-CD which will not fit Macs with slot loading drives, so having a full sized CD is important!).

Basically to install all you need to do is run the setup program from the included CD for your version of Mac OS. When it completes, reboot per the instructions and when the computer boots back up, open the installation document, connect the device to your Mac, and then follow the steps to configure the device on your computer inside the System Preferences menu.

Shipping Options
Orders will generally be shipped the same or next day after payment is received. Periodically if we are experiencing unusually high order volume, your order may not be shipped until the second business day after payment is received, but this is not usual. We offer both UPS and US Postal methods of shipping as described below.

Return Policy
The following is our return policy. We are not able to make exceptions to this policy. Bidding or selecting "buy it now" on this or any of our auctions constitutes full acceptance and agreement with all of our auction terms including our return policy.
This item is guaranteed to work for 30 days. We also want customers to be able to return products that they don't want, don't like, or did not mean to buy. Because we incur costs for each return (ebay fees, needing to resell open box items at a much lower price, etc.), we charge a minimal 10% restocking fee on all returned items (new and used), except for products that test defective upon receipt back here. Because many of our auctions include free or discounted shipping options, this also helps cover our original postage expense. For this listing only, if you are not able to get the item to work on your Mac, and you have one of the compatible operating systems listed, we will waive the restock fee even if the item tests working for us.
We believe this is a fair policy as most eBay sellers do not allow for any non-defective items to be returned, and the ones that do typically charge a 20% restocking fee. If the product you return is defective we can send a replacement at our expense or issue a refund of the item price, whichever you prefer. Please contact us for support if needed- if our support staff cannot get the item working for you, no restocking fee will be applied to your return. If you return a product without contacting and troubleshooting with us, a restocking fee will be applied if the product tests working upon receipt back here.
If you do wish to return a product, please contact us for return address instructions. Shipping and return shipping are not refundable unless we err, such as ship the wrong version of a product.
There are no other warranties on this auction, expressed or implied. The exception to this is if the description states there is a manufacturer's warranty. In this event buyers should contact us for full warranty coverage details.
INTERNATIONAL BUYER & SHIPPING TERMS
As noted in our shipping section, we do ship many items outside of the USA. However because we cannot pre-screen buyers, we reserve the right to cancel and refund any International purchase that is at such a high value to be deemed a risk for loss, and we reserve right to cancel and refund any international purchase we deem a risk for any other reason. In such an event, you would be notified via email within 48 hours of your purchase. Here are some important things to know about importing shipments from the USA:

It is against eBay rules for Rokland to collect any duty up front with your payment.

Insurance and proof of shipment
:
Items sent outside the USA are insured. US Postal Regulations state insurance covers only the cost of the product, and does not cover the shipping charge. Therefore if your shipment is lost, your postage/shipping is not refundable. When you inquire for shipping rate quotes, we will advise you of the average time frame for delivery. If your product has not arrived within 45 mailing days of shipping (30 days for Express shipments), please contact us so we canl file an insurance claim on your behalf. The US Postal Service requires that all insurance claim filings include a signed letter from you, the recipient, stating you have not received the parcel shipped to your address. This is a requirement and the letter can be faxed to us, scanned and emailed, or sent through Postal mail.
We cannot issue any refunds for lost packages or ship any replacements without this letter.
If you select a replacement, we will pay to ship it to you. If you select a refund, you will be refunded only the price of the product, as noted above US Postal Regulations do not allow us to insure the cost of the postage.

Returns

Buyers outside the USA may return products in accordance with our above advertised return policy. It is important to note that shipping and return shipping are NEVER refundable, with the sole exception of a case where we ship the wrong product (example: you buy a wireless adapter and we send a keyboard by mistake).
