- For Continuous / Prime Power Use -
I talked with the Caterpillar dealership and asked them about what it takes to make a stationary into a continuous/prime power unit. They told me if you run the generator at 90%, then it can be used for continuous/prime power. They also said the oil would need to be changed every 500 hours. So, if you ran the unit at 1750kW * 0.90 = 1575kW, then you could use it for continuous application.
