Our Aerators are made in 100% hand-blown glass. Unlike other products you will find, we do not use synthetic and toxic compounds like plastic to make our Aerators. Please remember that any Aerator not made in glass may easily add unwanted residues and other compounds to your wine.
Our Grape model, or as we refer to as the Bordeaux G is a unique design we are proud to present to wine lovers and drinkers the world over.
The Bordeaux G works by first pouring wine into the bulb. This is done by turning the bottle at an angle, the same way you would normally pour wine. As the wine filters into the bulb and fills it, the wine is Aerated perfectly.
The wine filters into the bulb around the glass walls, creating a thin layer of wine around the entire bulb interior. This thin layer of wine allows for a maximized amount of wine to come into contact with the outer air and thus aerate the contents. The larger the surface area over wine volume ratio, the better your wine breathes!
As the wine pools into the bulb, it builds up a large surface area, continuing to further aerate your wine and enrich flavors.
Then, with one flick of the wrist, you can pour the contents of the bulb into your glass. As the wine traverses the glass conduit, it creates a natural air suction, aerating wine as it passes, while also circulating the air inside the bulb.
By the time your wine reaches the glass, it has gone through 4 aeration steps. The wine has been mixed with air, has been given a large surface area to react and decant, has then been mixed more with air before finally arriving into your glass and eager mouth!
The Decanter can work in a more traditional role too. Once you have filled your glass, fill up the bulb on your aerator again, in anticipation of the next glass of wine. Set the bottle down, with thw wine in the bulb area pooled at an angle.
While you enjoy your glass of wine, the wine in the bulb area will decant and aerate.
