The generator is well made and works well. I made my own 3-point hitch frame so that the generator could be mounted on the tractor. I think most people would not want to this themselves and I was suprised that it was not offered as an option.

I have bought several generators in the past. All I had trouble with the motor and non use or stand by. It seemed that I spent more time working on or cleaning the carb. This happoned at all the wrong times (when I needed to use it.) This is the greatest thing I have ever bought and thanks to you guys at Northern for helping me. I have a small (20hp) tractor thah I mow with and use every couple of weeks. Why not get this pto generator and use my tractor motor. WHAT A SUPER IDEA you guys get 5 stars. I didn't need another motor to maintain I need a generator. My hat is off to you. This works super....

When I moved into the great northwest and bought some acreage to build my dream/retirement house, I realized that the power up here isn't as reliable as I'm used to. Already having my own tractor I researched generators and found this unit, which has more than satisfied my needs. I am a retired electrician and truly appreciate the ease of hooking it up. I also appreciate the clean and steady power it gives me when I need it. No separate engine to maintain or fuel. And the price? you can't beat it! If it ever wears out in my lifetime....I'd buy another one right away!

PTO Generator

I purchased the Northstar 7200 PTO Generator for emergency power back-up for our house in the country. I mounted the Generator on another Northern product which was a 3 point Carry-All Fork Attachment. I also used a Northern drive shaft to connect the generator to a John Deere Model 4100 diesel tractor. The set up works very good and it will run all nessary house refridgerators, television, lighting and a 220 volt pump in our well so we have running water in the house when and if we loose all of our electric power. This PTO Generator and the Carry-All Fork make a very portable unit that can be quickly attached to the tractor and put into service in case of power failures.
